DCC'20 SUBMISSION DETAILS UPDATED FOR VIRTUAL CONFERENCE
Paper Abstract for Review Submission (desirable but not required for full paper submission) – CLOSED
Paper submission is a two phase process: initially submit a paper title and two-page abstract, without author identification, electronically as a pdf file in the conference paper abstract format available as PDF and RTF. This will be quickly reviewed based on the suitability of the topic for the conference; then the full paper is submitted. Please proceed to the electronic submission of your paper abstract. Submission is through EasyChair, where you will be required to set up a login account if you do not already have one. A pdf file of the abstract needs to uploaded through EasyChair as a "paper". Note: Full papers may be submitted without a prior abstract.

Full papers for review (20 pages maximum) must be submitted electronically through EasyChair in the conference paper format which is available as PDF and RTF . One pdf file with the full paper including the title and abstract, with no author identification anywhere, needs to be submitted. Separately, at time of submission you need to email the conference with a statement that at least one author will register and attend the conference to present the paper if accepted and that the paper has not been submtted elsewhere, please include the paper title in the email. Please proceed to electronically submit your paper. Submission is through the EasyChair system accessed through the above link, where you will be required to set up a login account if you do not already have one. If you have already submitted an abstract, submit the full paper for review as a new submission.
At least one author of each accepted paper must register and pay for the conference by 31 October 2020 and attend the conference to have their paper included in the published proceedings and in the conference program.
Full papers may be submitted without a prior abstract.
A typical full paper will have the following or similar headings:

NEW: "Late-Breaking" Paper for Review Submission – CLOSED
Accepted "late-breaking" papers have a maximum of 12 pages and will be published in the conference proceedings and have a presentation slot in the program. "Late-breaking" papers for review (12 pages maximum) must be submitted electronically through EasyChair in the conference paper format which is available as PDF and RTF . One pdf file with the full paper including the title and abstract, with no author identification anywhere, needs to be submitted. Proposals for Half-Day Workshop Submission – OPEN FOR LATE SUBMISSIONS
Proposals for half-day workshops on advanced topics related to design computing or design cognition are due 14 September 2020. The workshops that succeed are those that provide considerable opportunity for discussion and are generally not run as mini-conferences.
Proposals for workshops should contain the following information in no more than 1000 words and be submitted as a PDF file:
- Workshop Title
- Name of Chair(s) plus email contact
- Committee of 3 to 5 people (preferably with international representation)
- Goals of the workshop
- Workshop format
- Method of submission, admission to workshops is open but submissions may be restricted
Send workshop submissions as a pdf file to the conference manager.
Accepted, Revised FULL Paper Submission – due 10 May 2020
The printed proceedings will be published by Springer. Revised, accepted papers have an absolute page limit of 20 pages in the conference format. For those familiar with the DCC format style, the publisher has changed the format style, so papers may now look different. Note that the Abstract is limited to 150 words. You can download the style as a .docx file (DOCX), an rtf file (RTF),as an example paper in .rtf (RTF), as an example paper in docx ( example paper in DOCX ), an example paper in rtf (example paper in RTF ) or as an example paper in pdf (example paper in PDF). Each paper needs a Consent form (consent) to be published. Submit the revised paper as a resubmission of the original submission number through EasyChair. A single zipped file containing four files: the paper in pdf, the paper in doc (or rtf), a note indicating how you have addressed the reviewers' comments in pdf, and the signed Consent form, needs to be submitted.
At least one author of each paper must register and pay by 31 October 2020 and attend the conference to have their paper included in the printed proceedings and a slot available for presentation. Note that an author presenting two papers will need to register as an additional presenter to cover the cost of inclusion of the additional paper the proceedings - see the Registration page.

UPDATED for VIRTUAL PRESENTATION Accepted Posters Submission – due 9 December 2020
Posters should be in the pptx aspect ratio, submitted as a single pdf file, by 9 December. Submission location to be advised. Posters will be displayed virtually in such a way that viewers can both visit the poster and talk to the author in real time. NOTE: no video needs to be uploaded.
