Call for Participation

Creativity is a fundamentally important topic in disciplines ranging from the more commonly associated fields of engineering, architecture and industrial design, to information technology and emerging areas in the social sciences, business and life sciences.

This conference seeks contributions on all aspects of design creativity in individual, collaborative, and/or social contexts with a particular focus on computational, cognitive and neurocognitive models of creative design, including but not  limited to:

This conference aims to provide an integrative international forum for the presentation and discussion of state-of-the-art and cutting edge research and developments in computational, cognitive and neurocognitive models of creative design, grounded in the thirty years of research since the first Heron Island conference in 1989.

Three kinds of submissions are being sought:

Research Papers
Papers from the community of researchers who have presented their research at previous "Heron island" conferences, asking them to reflect on the trajectory and influence of their research, and papers from the community of researchers who commenced their research more recently, asking them to present their research by placing it within the context of the thirty years of preceding research.
The title of the submission should commence with RESEARCH PAPER:

Position Papers
Poistion papers present the author's grounded views rather than research results.
The title of the submission should commence with POSITION PAPER:

Previously Published Papers by the Submitter for Discussion
These are papers by the author submitted as catalysts for dicsussion. These papers will not be republished in the conference proceedings.
The title of the submission should commence with PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED:
